Synopsis
After showing off some of his shooting skills, Joe is challenged to a gun duel by Dan Taggart. Bets on whether Joe will show up, start mounting and it seems everybody has an opinion. The problem is that Joe is not keen on fighting the duel and he must decide whether or not to meet Taggart at the appointed time. If he doesn’t show up, then per “the code” of the west, Joe will be forever branded a coward.

Synopsis
Ben is called into to town to deputise for Roy Coffee, who has been injured while preventing an escape attempt. Hoss, who came in with his father is made deputy because Harry Lassiter’s family are out to stop his hanging. Harry’s mother and brother have threatened to kidnap one man every day for the next five days until Harry is released. If Harry’s sentence is carried out, the Lassiter family vows to kill every one of their hostages. It’s up to Ben, Hoss, and some of the men in Virginia City to find them and stop them before it’s too late.
